Covid-19 Announcement
We are open for business both face-to-face and Telehealth. DUE TO COVID-19, OUR WAITING ROOM IS CLOSED.
The waiting room is closed until further notice to protect the safety of our staff, families, and clients. Families call the office from their car and then walk your child to the door to meet the therapist and then return to your car. If the family is scheduled for an evaluation only ONE parent is allowed and no other children can attend. If you have been exposed to COVID we ask that you call the office and cancel your appointments. If your child has to cancel multiple times there is no guarantee that your standing appointment can be saved upon your return.
As many of you know there are growing concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to make sure your children stay safe and well. We are taking extra measures in keeping the office clean and sanitized.
Some of the measures being practiced are wiping surfaces in high traffic areas with anti-bacterial wipes. We are using disinfectant spray in all areas during the day. We are making sure toys used during therapy sessions are sanitized after each child. We are cleaning tables and chairs in between each patient working on feeding. Therapists are sanitizing between each and every patient and sanitizing children’s hands upon taking them to the therapy room. The staff has been asked to wash their hands every 30 minutes around the clock and every staff member is being checked for fever upon entering the office for work.
Feeding therapy is using all paper products which are being thrown away after each patient. If your child has their own oral motor tools, we ask that you bring them to therapy. We have stopped using ours for the time being.
We do ask that if YOU or your child is sick to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Our policy is to be fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to therapy. This also applies to gastrointestinal viruses; it needs to be at least 24 hours since the last stomach upset to make sure the virus has cleared their system. This is to ensure the health and wellness of our other families.
We are making sure we are taking all precautions to make sure your child stays healthy. Parents should meet the therapist at the door to begin therapy and pick up their child.
