In January of 2017, Sensory Solutions opened in the state of Kentucky. I am often asked how that came about, so I would like to explain.
In 2001 I hired Monica Burrows, SLP as a new graduate. She worked in St Louis for 8+ years but always dreamed of moving to New York, so she did just that. After having children, she moved to her hometown of Paducah, KY. Within a brief period, she realized that there was no facility providing quality care to the children in the area. Many children were falling through the cracks, and pediatric therapy services were minimal. It was at that time that discussions began about opening Sensory Solutions in Kentucky. Monica believed in the philosophy of the company and wanted to provide therapy services in her hometown. In 2017 our first location in Paducah opened, and within a short time, we treated over 80 patients per day. In 2019 we opened Murray, KY.
Sensory Solutions-KY, LLC provides quality pediatric therapy to the children in the area, which wasn’t available to this extent.
The services provided in Kentucky include Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy.
Even though she was an incredibly difficult case, Sensory and Sheree never gave up on our baby, even when we were about to give up ourselves. We kept making those small steps, those tiny victories, and then all those tiny victories came together and Mia connected the dots and she started to eat – just a tiny amount at first and then slowly gained traction. Then, one day, everything came together for Mia, she woke up and decided she was going to eat. It was miraculous – she started eating and hasn’t stopped trying new foods or eating for a second since!

We will bill out-of-network benefits for all other insurance plans. We have affordable private-pay rates for therapy sessions. For co-payments and deductibles we accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard which are due prior to therapy sessions. We have a cancellation policy of 24 hours’ notice. Families will be billed $30 for no call/ no show appointments and non-emergency cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice. Please email info@sensorysolutions.org with any questions.
