Early Intervention

Early intervention can greatly improve the developmental outcomes of a child with developmental delays, special needs, or other concerns. It helps by providing children with the training they need to build on his or her strengths, learn new skills, and/or improve or develop new strategies to conquer their weaknesses. It also provides parents with the information they need to be able to better understand his or her child’s behaviors and/or needs. Parents are offered resources, support, and training throughout therapy sessions in order to develop strategies that are effective for each individual child.

A child’s earliest years are filled with new experiences and constant learning situations. The first three years of a child’s life are also the most important time for one’s brain development. This can be an extremely difficult time for a child whom may be delayed or limited in their development. By receiving therapy sooner in a child’s life rather than later, children have a better opportunity to succeed later in life.
